Does everone like to sit in their decoys or out front

to answer your question, i prefer to sit in the dekes... although, if the birds dont want to put their feet down for some odd reason, i will start by adjusting the decoys as soon as i notice this happening, and if that doesnt work then pull the blinds ahead of the dekes by 10 yards give or take... dont have to resort to this often but will maybe once a year just to put the birds in shooting range... early november is usually when this happens... if at all.

if your on the "X" you shouldnt have to worry about it, but not everyone has the op to hunt the exact field that they are in for permission reasons and what not... in that case the field a head is my next option... and keeping other birds off the ground behind us (kickin them out if they land). I usually hang a white t-shirt or an orange hat on the fence where they have been flyin over into that field to deter them a bit...somtimes works othertimes doesnt

as for decoys, between me and the 5-6 other guys that go with me, we have roughly 10 dz full bodies and 2 dz shells with 30 full body mallards.. all GHG....and usually run 2-3 flags but each of us have one in the blind..and 1-2 callers if i have the other guy who can blow a call... we still dont use but 1/4 to 1/2 of the dekes unless we need to.
