very cool. I would hate to see how many things my dog would run into if he couldn't see  Runs 100mph in low gear and doesn't know slow.

This touches me especially close because 4yrs ago I got the news my female chessy had Blasto and has lived through it. She is just about to have a litter of pups.

she had her first cough at 8:00 am and by 1200 noon she was coughing blood. Rushed her in thinking stick caught in throat. When I seen the red foamy blood I knew there was only 1 place foamy blood can come from in the body and that is your lungs. Thought she was having a lung anurism. Nope 1 spore landed either on a small vein or capulary in her lung causing it to burst. Thank God it was his way of showing me a sign if this had not happened we would have probably never caight it and I would have lost her.

If any of you have had to live through this deadly disease it sucks and I so feel your pain.

Vickie we lost 7 dog's to it when I was growing up. We never could figure out what it was till the 6th one   The last year we lived by the pond my mom caught it and almost died from it, She has bad scar tissue and lung problems now. Our town that same year had 4 people die from it and God knows how many animals. The last few years I have not heard of any cases, and I hope I don't.

Thank you very much for Coopers story. It instills in me more drive for my situation. I have a very healthy love to hunt Lab. The problem is me. I am stuck in a power chair. But after 50 yrs of hunting just about every kind of bird. I don't let a little chair stop me. Don't go as fast as I used to but last sunday we still got two pretty birds.
Cooper proves there is more than one way to get the job done.

That's great. I have a German shorthair myself so I enjoyed that story. I remember when our Vizsla started to lose her hearing and sight as she got older. There was a lot more hand waving to get her attention because she couldn't hear worth a darn anymore. Her nose still worked great and was always a great bird dog.
