If it's a small dog you can mix up the wash and put the dog and the mix in a cooler and shake it all up.

While hunting SD this year my Jaxson got sprayed by a skunk (again) so I went to the local "Runnings" store there in Aberdeen to get some Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda and Dish Soap and the guy there told me about using "ERASE" Odor Killer by Berkley. I was hesitant but bought a bottle of it and gave Jaxson a bath using it and The ERASE worked great. When I back home to Iowa I went ahead and bought 2 more bottles to keep on hand.... just in case!

I have to agree with recipes (soap/peroxide/soda) I used Dawn for the soap when my Chessie got skunked two years ago, it also helped out inside my suburban......long story

Got this from our Vet. when my dog got it.
Equal parts of
Liquid Ivory Soap
Baking Soda
Hydrogen Peroxide
This will make a paste that you spread on the dogs coat. Leave it sit for an hour and then rinse it off. The odor will be completely gone and the dogs coat will shine.

I used the hydrogen peroxide, dish soap, baking soda recipe on my GSP this past season. I guess I just wanted to add that you need to let it sit for a little while (5 - 10 minutes maybe??) in order for it to work.

The first go-round I didn't let it sit long enough and let's just say she spent some time on the deck. After reading a little more on the internet I found the part about letting it sit and that seemed to work a lot better.

Good luck getting it out of the collars though. My shock collar still gives me a fresh whiff of it every time I open the case.
