Default Got a Goose hunting Situation.

The geese are landing in these fields that are next to a big water source but unhuntable due to no shotguns allowed. Has anyone ever heard of putting bright colored clothing in the field so it seems like someone is laying there so they dont land?

I've heard of guys putting those big orange plastic bags used for leaves out there, on a stake moving in the wind.

No shotguns allowed? Just switch to a 22-250, or a .223 would do the trick. Setup on the closest gravel road and fire away!!! Anyway, yea i heard of people doing that, but never done it myself. I assume it would work.

1. Let them feed out the field untouched/allowing for relaxed birds when they do relocate
2 (If possible) Run traffic on a neighboring field

Looking at your location, you should have other opportunities at birds, just my .02 in getting them killed without using the above forementioned alternatives, not that they are wrong, just another alternative.

Couple cheap Coyote silohouettes should do the trick.

I think it would work better to leave a vehicle out there on mornings/afternoons when you're setup on a legal field. The geese are gonna figure out the orange clothing pretty quick, and just land wide of it.

I know some guys who did the empty vehicle thing on refuge fields up here & thought it really helped.

Even if the grain is all but gone, it could be weeks b4 they leave the field if they feel safe there.
They prolly tried running traffic........can be impossible if everything is traveling from 1 roost to 1 field.

If it's anything like up here, there are far too many geese that never get hunted by staying in city limits or refuges.........I say mix it up & hopefully they make a mistake!!
