Default Goose Q

Question about a field set up for geese. If the geese are coming out with the wind at their back do you set up facing away from them still? As in if there is an east wind and the geese have been flying to the west to get to the field they have feeding in, which way should I face my blind?

Its best to sit with the wind at your back.

They land in to the wind, unless there is no wind or very very low wind.

So in that case I would set up facing away from the geese still.

If it really bothers you, you could set up with the wind going from right to left or left to right so the geese come in from your side.

It'll feel weird, but in theory they should circle back around and land into the wind, though they don't always cooperate and sometimes you might have to jump up and try to shoot them somewhere behind your decoys.....

I guess i assumed he was talking about not being able to see the geese as they were coming. My bad.
