That is a great video! Think I might sleep in the shed with the decoys tonight.

I love the early season especially since it opens up on my birthday, Sept.1st. Two years ago i took the whole week off just to hunt it. Wasn't the greatest situation once i found out that the geese were using a cut wheat field that was owned by a guy from illinois that didn't like hunting. All the geese were using that field, and not coming over the field i had permission for. During the early season in WI you can hunt the horicon zone, which for the regular season you need to have applied earlier in the year. But you can hunt ducks in the horicon zone during the regular season, so it's nice to find these spots during the early season. Plus i use the dnr's website for the cropdamage listings. I find the list for geese and just start calling these people to see if anyone has called about hunting the land.

Well the great thing about the early season this year for you is if you hunt on your birthday there won't be much competition!
