Its not that bad. Instead of pulling the bold back a half an inch to check you need to pull it back 2-3 inches and let it slam shut.

kind of ironic that your number 3 and number 5 guns are made by the same company. your opinion is based on the name.

Grew up on remington 870 wife has 20gauge 1100lt I love that gun Don't know what it is about it but it works good for me. Have a-5 browning hate it, but my brother loves it. Son has bennelli nova its a decent gun. Told son not to waste money on class ring and junk like that. Told him I would by him a gun. He got a used browning gold still undicided on that one.

first things first, that nova is no representation of a benelli. lol

Browning Gold Hunter - best auto EVER made. Far surpasses Benellis and laps the rest of the field
When did you switch?

I have had the SBE II, the M1, 870, A5 and the SX3. Once I picked up the Super Vinci it fit and swung better FOR ME than any other gun I have ever touched. It was closer to my A5 than any gun has ever been. All of the guns have had things I liked and things I didn't. All of them performed well for me with the exception of my first SBE II. I never could get decent patterns with it, regardless of chokes. The Super Vinci has by far been my favorite all around. It took me a bit to warm up to the overall look but it is a shooting machine. I can't even begin to describe how well it fit me and thats without adjusting anything with the comb, shims etc

The SX3 and Maxxus are basically the same gun. Browning now owns Winchester so same all around. I also didn't know until recently that Mossberg makes all of the pumps for Browning and Winchester too.

Now with all of that said, when the new Browning A5 is released I will buy one. I loved my old one but got away from it so I could have one gun for every occasion regardless of loads, temps etc. I have a feeling it will quickly become my new favorite.

I have both benelli's and a browning. M1 and an old A5. If i wanted to shoot just 2 3/4" loads i would shoot the A5 at ducks all season, adn geese too as long as I had some hevi reloaded. jsut haven't had time ot reload much the past couple years. A5 is my slug gun when I go.

Haven't had a maxus in my hands, but look like a good piece of artilery. Citori's well whole different animal with the 2 holers...shot one in Canada just for kicks, cause my buddy didn't shoot it much. shoulda bought it from him when he sold it.

BTW, i also have a nova, don't shoot it often, but it shoots just fine for me, fits me well, i just forget to pump the damn thing

The biggest thing i would say is if it fits you well and it is in your price range....

And I would love to have a new A5, but the $1600 tag on it, scares me off a bit...
