Season is underway in SD

Started the early season up here in South Dakota yesterday and had a decent shoot. The birds worked well early but once the sun came up the short wheat stubble did not hide the blinds too well. Ended up with 15 (9 are in picture). The birds that we did shoot were feet down in the decoys.

What are you jealous about? From the luck you have had lately maybe you just better stay home... If you had tried to go you probably would have gotten a flat tire on the truck, a hole in your waders, and had problems with the boat.

Was in SD this morning for a hunt test, saw a few guys out. It won't be long now!

Is the cover that we can see in the pic way brighter than what is in the field or is that just the flash doing that?

If so, might be why you had a bit of problem after the sun came up.

Either way nice job bro. Sitting here totally jealous right now

Saw well over 60 get crushed this morning as I watched from the car, tomorrow will be a different story

True statement. All of the wheat that was on the ground was much lighter than the stubble. We had a lot of trouble finishing birds once the sun came up.

Yeah, I talked to a few people that smoked em pretty good. Most people killed their 8 bird/person limit the sounds of it. We were hunting a county that most of our group isn't used to hunting (Brown county was not in the Neusance season). The guys in our group said this would be their WORST hunt of the season , lol. I have always been happy shooting 15 honkers!
