About Waterfowlers Alliance;

My name is Brannon Hilton and I am the founder of the Waterfowler’s Alliance. This all started a few years ago when I started www.iowaoutdoorsman.com and decided I wanted to film and produce hunting videos. I quickly found out this was easier said than done. I was getting limited footage of waterfowl, and I am not even going into my bow hunting disaster. After a few years of error and error, I figured I was gonna need some help.
I started hanging out with a few other hardcore waterfowlers like myself. After I got to know them a little better, I approached them with the idea of teaming up to film and produce waterfowl hunting videos. I explained my idea. We would all commit to providing footage for a video, but we would also open up the opportunity for members to send in their videos for consideration of being on the DVD. I further explained that I wanted to make it a contest so that members whose videos were chosen for our show would get something in return, like decoys, or calls, or something.
Well, I didn’t have to twist any arms. After several short months of planning, the Waterfowler’s Alliance is alive. Our primary objective is to spread our belief of safety, ethics, and good sportsmanship. We have all been around this sport a long time, and we know how things can get. Heck, for years prior to really getting to know each other, we were stepping on each others toes. Now that we have formed an alliance, we will all benefit from the results of team work and camaraderie.
Zach Harryman was the catalyst needed to get this thing going. I met Zach a few years ago when my buddy Jason and I were trying to get a food plot business off the ground. Zach sold seed, and we were thinking about developing a custom blend. After getting to know Zach a little better, I realized our common interests ran much deeper than seeds and food plots. Like myself, Zach is primarily a waterfowler.
I apporached Zach with my idea several months ago. He was immediately hooked and began brain storming ideas and concepts with me. He really played a key role in keeping me on track and focused during the final days before we made our idea public.
Zach hand weaves the lanyards available for sale through the Waterfowler’ Alliance. A little trick he learned from another friend of ours, Jeremy (Cash 53).
