Had 4 come in to the decoys yesterday, thought hard on the drake but opted to pass. Beautiful birds.

How come everyone lets them pass? I personally have never got a chance on one, but I don't hunt big water. Also I seldom let a legal duck pass unless there are birds everywhere.

To small and there are better tasting ducks to shoot! Canvasback, Red head, Scaup, and Ring necks are much better!

How many see/shoot buffleheads?
We shot 1 drake on Friday morning. The one we shot was a Juvenile. Still very cool looking duck.

I let them pass cause I'd rather eat a puddle duck than a diver.

I am not at the point where I pass on any ducks. I wish I saw enough ducks to feel like I had that option.

We usually get a couple every late season - definately do not pass on any duck that wants to come visit the spread

I see them once in a while. I give them a pass as well. I'm not much on divers unless its really slow.
