Hey guys I'm thinking about buying a new blind. My ground force is about done for, unless I can buy a new couple of new bars for the doors. I want something a little bit more roomy so I'm looking at the roger's xl goosebuster or the cabela's ultimate northern flight.
Any experience with or input on either of these? I'm leaning toward the roger's blind but thought I would ask. http://www.rogerssportinggoods.com/i...roduct_id=3133 http://www.cabelas.com/product/Hunti...0#BVRRWidgetID |

I have the rogers goosebuster. I really like it. It is my first blind so I can only compare it to what my hunting partners say about their blinds and what I have seen from theirs. They have the Scheels (made by avery), a ground force, and power hunters. It folds up just like avery Scheels one (not as small as the ground force and definately not as small as the power hunter) but has more room inside than their blinds. It also has a poly floor that extends 3 inches up the sides instead of a coating and it is the most waterproof out of our group. Folds up and takes down in about as much time as their ground force and scheels model. Very confortable seat and back rest. I have been very happy with it this season. I just bought a snow cover for it this weekend for about $50.

Thanks for the input.
Fowl attitude, do you have the regular size goosebuster or the xl? and does the frame use quick release pins? Bruto, I don't see a snow cover for the northern flight. Do you know of any that would fit it? |

It is the regular size. I am a pretty averaged size guy. 5'10" and about 160. Yes it has the quick pins. They pin into a hard plastic. I had to make a couple of the holes a little bigger just to slide the pins in easier. Was not a big deal until it got cold and I was we wring gloves. I just wanted to make it easier to get the pins in.

I have the cabelas and avery the cabelas blind has alot more room in it but doesnt fold up as nice as the finisher. You pretty much need a full size truck or trailer to haul it

A guy I hunt with just got a Goosebuster XL. Got chance to sit in it this weekend....it will be my next blind. Way roomier than my Scheels blind...He really likes it as he is a bigger guy. Think Rogers has them right now for like $215 with snow cover and a call.
