Who uses a blind bag and what is your opinion of them? Most of my hunts both duck and geese are walk in. If you use a blind bag what brand do you recammend and which features are needed in a bag?

Avery floating blind bag. Big enough for what you need and it floats

I would say that it's a must have for me. I take a lot of stuff- shells, extra shells, snacks, water, thermos of coffee, extra gloves, multi-tool, etc. Get a semi-hard sided one if you can, mine is a little too floppy.

I carry a large Cabelas floating bag whether walking in or taking the boat.
One feature I suggest is the hard bottom bag, allows you to set the bag down in the mud or an inch of water or wherever without it sponging up a bunch of water.

I carry a Boyt blind bag, pretty pricey but they are the best of the best IMO, quality stitching really nice layout, and a lifetime warranty, I use them for my gun cases and blind bags. They are built in Osceola Iowa right off of Hwy 34, they have a retail store there. Great prices on closeout stuff all the time too.

I just use a backpack, but I have it stuffed full of crap. Never know what you need. It's not a organized as a blind bag, but I can fit more in it. Never had any problems other than having to dig around to find things, except I did have a spinner battery weld to my thermos this year. Must have melted the insulation cause it ain't worth a damn for keeping coffee hot now. And I haven't tried it yet, but the battery is probably shot too, the prongs are half burnt off.

I use a Drake XL bag when I go on a boat ride. Other wise I use a small knap sack in which the draw strings double as shoulder straps. I used to use it to carry my wrestling shoes many years ago but serves well for hunting. The only bad thing is the netting material doesn't float.

i use a blind bag all the time, but never when i walk in. shells go into one pocket or belt, lanyard around my neck, dekes in a bag back pack style, gun on a sling...sometimes, mojo in one hand maybe a marsh seat in another. oh and depending on what i ate, tp goes into a pocket where it stays dry
