Default Morning flight?

With this great weather we are having here in NE Iowa I wondering if anyone is seeing a morning flight? I watched a bunch go in a field at 4:15 this evening but family life says we can only hunt in the morning for the next two days. Saturday calls for 40 for a high. Any opinions on what might happen? Been a rough year on us and confidence in our decisions is at an all time low.

Today they moved at 0901 and only fed for bout 30 minutes before they headed towards their afternoon grass loafing spots.

You can't walk outside around CR without seeing a flock in the air. If they would leave city limits a guy could probably kill a few. It won't be long until that whole damned 380 corridor is incorporated if they keep developing it.

My home town was like this, and you could go to the city council and ask them for permission to hunt in city limits. They would let a lot of guys hunt in fields inside city limits. Might be worth asking

Here in waukee there hasnt been a ton of movement in the morning, a few flocks will go out and come back in but nothing like the feed that goes on in the afternoon.

I have been hunting a ditch line due to the fact that I cant hunt some fields because people either leased or dont let hunt..solo shot 2 last night and 2 of us shot 5 tonight.

In Ames, the geese were coming off of Ada Hayden at 8 am and landing in a field just north of 190th. I was driving home from work around 5 pm and they were several flocks coming back to Ada Hayden from the North.

This is the first day in quite some time that I have seen them coming off of the water to feed in the morning.

It's been asked many times, they freak out at the mention of it. It is OK to come to the park and feed them though.

We are going to go look tomorrow morning and hunt the next one if it works out. These are not CR geese but I did notice their plan of flying last night after shooting hrs.

From what we have been seeing the last few days it is best from 8:30 till 11 then things really slow down. We havn't been having much luck with our evening hunting just because everything is comeing out after shooting hours. But if you get a nasty cloudy day then im sure they would fly much earlier.

Some cold air and snow would be nice, to force them to feed twice a day. It's been tough to get on them cause they're going out so late in the afternoon.

That generally causes then to feed only once in early to mid afternoon and sit in the field fire the majority of the afternoon

It has a lot to do with who you are, and who are family is. Money talks as they say, and it also hunts geese in city limits
