We went from quite a few birds at the end of last week to void of anything right before the last bit of weather we got on Monday....

The birds we have left seem to be going back into roost spots by 8am and leaving roost about :01 sec after shooting time.

Per usual. Hadn't flown by 11 am. Just sitting there sleeping. Waited from 9-11 and nothing.

Today two of us killed 3 between 11 and 1. Didn't see a flock until 11 and only 1 after 1.

Tell ya what I think of what I saw geese doing today.....Geese are stupid and I hate them. Flying aimlessly all over creation and not landing anywhere all day long. Glad I didn't hunt. Going to bang the head off the wall tomorrow though because it beats sitting on the couch.

The past few weeks have been tough hunting geese thats for sure.

As far as flights, in my area in the past 2 weeks I would say they have only flown once in teh morning to feed and that was for about an hour before the sun came out and then they stopped.

With this mild weather and sunshine, 4:15 to 4:30 is the earliest I'm seeing geese fly, with cloudy skies and wind, you might bump that up an hour but they sure aren't in a pattern. One day it can be cloudy and they fly at 4:30, the next day cloudy and they go at 3:30

Weird weird year with this weather.

All I have to say is mother f'ing geese, they came out an hour later tonight. Maybe some clouds and flurries this weekend will send them out to feed earlier this weekend.

I'm thinking about doing a little ditch piggin myself. Watched a bunch slide into the safe zone last night. Might shake their confidence a little. Anybody tried the dead coyote loads?

Probably going to try setting up on a prayer tomorrow. I surrendered my expectations awhile ago...

Going this afternoon, had a good scouting trip last night. What are the odds the weather messed us up again?
