My son got me into waterfowl hunting two years ago when he borrowed a friend's duck boat! Needless to say I bought one last year and it had a lot of use!
We hunt mostly central/southwest IA but I'd like to get over on the Mississippi River to hunt sometime (didn't make it this year). Once the water freezes up we do quite a bit of field hunting around DSM/Ames. |

A father and his son in the outdoors is as good as it gets. There is good waterfowl hunting all across this state you just have to adapt to where you are at. The Lansing area can be pretty awesome. And don't forget the fishing pole.
