Default Homemade snow goose windsocks

Since I finally got laid off I decided it is time to make some more windsocks for snows. The tyvek material I am using came from Cabelas. It was a boat cover on clearance for 28 bucks. So far I have made over 20 plus decoys out of the cover and still have over half of it left.

I first cut the material out with the pattern I made.

Then I fired up the sewing machine to sew the bodies together.

Now I have the bodies sewed up I just need to sew in the plastic ring in for the neck to hold the the neck open to catch air.

Those look pretty good, you could always order coroplast backbones/liner bags and skip the plastic banding, I'm sure they will look good either way!

I bought a dozen conversions just to try them out. Think we might buy 200 more so convert more of our other windsocks.

Here is some pics of the finished product. The 28 dollar tarp made me 42 socks. Seems to be a good deal to me!
