Hi Brandon welcome to IAW. I too am from Illinois and live on a farm outside Hudson next to Cedar Falls area. I just moved here Sept. 2010 to Wifes Family Farm. I am 55 years old and retired from Illinois. I have an Esxpress 1650 DB waterfowl boat and am still looking for good places to hunt. I have @ 10 dozen duck decoys and was used to hunting over spreads of 300-600 in illinois. Contact me sometime. 309-825-5133 cell

Did you kill your turkey last year? Ran into you down south at a public area.

I too went to UNI. I hunted Big Marsh and Sweets marsh quite a bit from 1998-2000. They both can be good. I also hunted around the Railroad lake area when I was a little more pressed for time. Railroad lake area was good from time to time, but there were some goof balls there. I remember them pass shooting ducks from the parking lot, and I even heard a story about them putting a guy in a boom truck to shoot. Thats been a good 12-14 years ago, so I have no idea what it is like now.

I'm guessing Falls Access.

Might be falls access. NW of Cedar Falls. I think there is a refuge or something across the road. I shot my first goose there in 1997, I was duck hunting. Also, shot geese over texas rags in a field back to the east of that lake. Texas wrags and an Olt goose call.
