Im in the marines about to get out and moving back to my home state of Iowa, I lived up by Okoboji/ Spirit Lake area but going to college in Iowa City and I dont know any good places to go Duck and Goose Hunting. North or South of Iowa City? Any good suggestions?

Welcome and thanks for your service.... Get on DNR website you can check out some places... Hawkeye wildlife would probably be your closest but Odessa isnt too far and green island isnt REALLY far away... those are some bigger places theres also some small places like wiese slough(think i spelt that right),princeton,klum lake.... theres also cedar river and wapsi river too....These are all within an hour and half drive from Iowa city....Cedar river had some good action this year and the others are usually hit or miss.... Green island early you can almost bet on shooting some wood ducks... You got any questions shoot me a pm i live between iowa city and quad cities and i hunt all around the east side of the state....
