Got Out Ice Fishing

Went ice fishing on the Blue Mesa Reservoir near Gunnison, Colorado on Sunday. Had some limited success and caught some nice fish.

We like to call it snow out here in Colorado. I thought we sent some towards Iowa the other day?

southern part of iowa here in the NE part we have nothing but black ground and no safe ice to ice fish.

Would you like some of the 11 inches of snow we got here?
And the lakes and ponds are almost totally void of ice here, geese are in family groups on many of the ponds already, bad thing is we did not get out to put in new nesting material will have to use the small flat bottom and waders.

I wouldn't mind actually! The Crested Butte ski resort has been a little bit icy lately. It could really use some fresh powder so I can go skiing again.
