I'll start by saying I'm yet to pick up a highdollar duck call that I liked(goose calls much different story). I always find myself going back to primos wench or a buck gardner freeby and killin ducks just fine with them. ***No disrespect to call makers***To me it just seems like a lot of the high dollar calls don't really give you volume and some of them can't even handle my crippled lungs high ball. Last weekend in Burlington I think someone was blowing a RNT MVP in the parking garage and I seriously was waiting for car alarms to go off. I kinda gather this call will take all the air you can give it. Looks like a great call for breaking migrators. I'm really interested in hearing opinions.

Haha good ole Trevor Shannahan... ![]() But yeah, they are loud as no other. Ment for the contest stage, but I'm sure they kill ducks every day of the season like a lot of other calls. Hard to get away from an original wench...for a poly mass production call they had/have a hell of a sound. |

I have one and it is usually my first choice depending on the weather. Definitely can be a high volume call, I purchased a Dean Downer call for soft and close up. I love the MVP but it is indeed pricey, the most I have ever paid for a call. I do not regret it for a minute.

I know the hail call works but that is a competition routine and not a hunting style of call

Hard to beat an Original for a "1" call that will do it all. An MVP is a close second. Just think the Original has a better bottom end duck.
Side note: Hailing ducks works............ ever so often. NOT all the time. Please don't turn into some Hoser that feels the need to HIGH BALL every flippin flock of ducks he sees thinking it will BREAK them. NOT!!! If the first couple of flocks don't react its not what they or the rst of us on the marsh want to hear that day. Thank You. |
