Default who has/can get tomorrow off and would want to go?

im leaving Marshalltown at 9pm and headed down to Missouri. Nobody can seem to get the day off, or is able to go but the weather is lookin good.

SSE 12-16mph with sunshine until 3 then 16-19mph and rain at 5pm.
the group yesterday killed 100, not sure what they are at today tho.
The morning and early afternoon should be good. and i plan to pack up if it starts raining too much.

PM me if you would like to come along

the guide cut me a price of $75 for the one day for me and anyone i bring along, since its a weekday and he dosent have anyone booked until wednesday. I hunted with him last year and goin again with them this march.

sorry to those who i didnt get the msg in time.

there were 3 hunters and a guide. we killed 76 snows but had 60 of them by 2pm. evening went slowest because the birds took a different route out of the refuge. Saw A TON OF MIGRATING JUVI's!!!!! no birds leaving and going north, just fresh arrivers!! and no we were not at squaw. we were around Grand Pass NWR by Marshall MO. Squaw has not had very good reports for harvest regardless of the 1.4 million birds that are there. Vandemore (Habitat Flats) has been gettin his but kicked by these smaller guide services who run a few spreads and 1/8th the clients instead of 8 HUGE spreads and 60 clients per day....

5 reports from squaw yesterday: 5, 6, 8, 12, and 15 birds= a really slow day. and its mosltly due to the amount of adults that are there. they are still mostly front line birds and those adults will lead a majority of the juvi's away from the decoy spreads. the adults arent stupid.

got reports that the juvi are still in north texas, arkansas oaklahoma and southern missouri in LARGE numbers!

my dad and two of his buddies headed down last night after hearing how i was doin and i passed them on 35. right now there are 3 hunters and a guide and they now his 63 birds with the best part of the evening yet to come. I would have stayed if i didnt have a mandatory training for work this morning.... damnit lol

im not kidding you, the rest of this week will be amazing!!!

Sounds like they did alright yesterday. 208 out of one of one of their spreads is pretty solid!

yeah i heard about that, thats more than solid. but they also had 2, 4,7, 9, and 14 bird fields. my point isnt to talk trash but to tell that Squaw is not having good success rates. hell there are 100 setups around that refuge currently. and they are front line birds still. currently 1.5 million birds and majority are adults.

my dad and his two buddies shot 106 yesterday (grand pass) and they even quit 2 hours early! just got off the phone with the guide and they are settin spreads now and birds are landing in the decoys as we speak. they have 36 hunters (4 spreads) hunting thursday friday sat and sun so they should throw up some great numbers this weekend with 40 guns barkin!

i cant wait for SD!! and maybe ill try to squeeze in another MO trip

I hope I am wrong but SD may not be too good this year. We still don't have a speck of snow. SD may be a fly over state with the current snow line in the center of ND.

I just talked to a guy from Yankton who said they got an inch the other day, and a guy around brookings said that there was 2" that hit the ground..? did that all melt?

snow line or not the birds wont fly over SD. no snow line is holding them now, and the birds are stretched out from mid-northern arkansas to mid nebraska and southern iowa (numbers wise)

im certain that the whole month of march will have good shooting in Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota.
