In 2 weeks, barring a snow storm with is nothing short of inevitable, you'll be hunting the tail end of the migration. You won't see huge numbers, but the birds you see will want it...

A lot of the guides and other reports seen, almost all the birds in the squaw refuge are adults. Every report i have read lately is stating that the Juvies are still in Arkansas. Guides are saying that the juvies should hit squaw area sometime in the beginning of march. I don't hunt until march 11th but the way the reports are it sounds like we will be there during the thick of things.

anyone hunting this weekend and the next 1-2 weeks should have a good chance at a hunt of a lifetime!!!
there are still alot of juvi birds in Texas, oaklahoma, and arkansas, and of course southern missouri!! im thinkin that my trip to SD in the end of march will pan out just right for big numbers of juvi!! ill just have to pick up another case of shells lol

a majority of the birds are spread through missou right now...reports are saying a lot of the juves have moved out of arkansas. there are still some in texas and illinois, but a lot have been pushing into se mo. if you are hunting nw missouri before next weekend you better bring your a game. hide so that you are invisible, set your spread right and cross your fingers. if it were me i would be heading further south and east than mound city.

had a flock of specks and snows fly over the house we are workin on this a.m. mostly specks but there were a few snows mixed in. water is starting oen up here in story co, I would guess there are other places that will also open for a few days, then we get cold next week so it could be short lived. bring on Kansas this weekend
