Hawkeye Wildlife Area
Was down in that neck of the woods on business and decided to drive around the area. Some sexy looking stuff. Especially Greencastle Ave. I suppose its like any other area in Iowa that gets hunted the tar out of though. Seen lots of fowl. Was hopeing to see some snows but only saw one smallish flock by the Amanas and it was heading towards the only hunter set up I saw today. The roads are crap down there I spilt 3/4ths my twelve pack of beer err pop on the dashboard(jk). Dukes of Hazard roads.

Re: Hawkeye Wildlife Area
Doug you should have been down here last weekend if you really wanted to see snows in the area, not that there were a lot of them by snow goose standards. Sunday I was out there dog training before the snow storm got here and the snows all got up to go feed ahead of the storm...one giant flock a thousand birds strong by my estimates. Funny that most of the specks disappeared the day before the snows showed up!
And yes it gets PISS POUNDED during open season!
